01/01/1970 - 00:00 Europe/Prague Model European Union 2011 is the event which best simulates the reality of the European Institutions, as it takes place yearly in the real building of the European Parliament in Strasbourg and it's a terrific opportunity for all those young Europeans who want to know more about the decision-making process of the EU institutions. Besides, it's an amazing chance to get to know other young Europeans from every walk of life and backgrounds, from the 27 member states, bounded by the same values, passion and interest towards the European Union. Have you always wondered what are the real tasks of a MEP? Have you always wanted to represent a country in the Council? Have you ever thought about simultaneously interpreting a real debate inside the European Parliament? Would you like to write about a real session of the EP or the Council? Do you think you would be an influential lobbyist? In spring 2011, 180 young Europeans will gather in the beautiful city of Strasbourg to attend the simulation. They will be playing the roles of MEPs, Ministers, Journalists and Lobbyists. What does a real European diplomat or politician do? What are their tasks? Discover in this challenging experience what's behind the scenes! Discuss and learn, with people from all over Europe, about issues on the diplomatic agenda and express your view on the EU. Thanks to MEU, you will understand how difficult negotiating and compromising really works in Europe. We would like you to spread the word among your huge network and we look forward to meet you in Strasbourg! Do not hesitate to contact us! Contact:
