As a valued partner institution of the University of Kent, we would like to make you aware of our English with Volunteering Summer School programme.
We have really enjoyed welcoming ERASMUS students to Kent but recognise that some students prefer to come to the UK for a shorter period of time and might want to improve their English. They may therefore be interested in participating in this programme.
English with Volunteering is an exciting short summer programme for university students from all over the world. Students can learn English on our beautiful Canterbury campus and work on community projects and charities with local residents at the same time. So as well as improving their language skills they will also be able to add some voluntary work to their CV.
There is a four week or six week option. More information about the four week programme:
·The course runs from Sunday 1st - Saturday 28th August
·There will be 40 hours of English language tuition
·40 hours of volunteering
·27 night’s self catering accommodation
·Two full-day excursions, and a half day outing
·Organised social and sports activities
·The cost is £1250
The deadline for applying to this programme is Monday 5th July 2010 (Monday 24th May for the six-week option).
