Dear colleagues,

let me please inform you about a summer school for PhD students which will be organized by SKASE (Slovak Association for the Study of English). The summer school will be held from 2 to 11 May, 2011 within an Erasmus program. It will include lectures by experts and a conference for PhD students. The cost of travel, accommodation, and diet will be covered by the organizers under the condition that the participants (teachers and/or students) will arrive at least one day before and leave one day after the summer school. This is a condition specified in the relevant ERASMUS programme.
 

The summer school and the conference will cover four major fields:

1. Linguistuics
2. Literature
3. Studies
4. Translation and interpretation.

While the language of the summer school/conference will be English it will not be restricted to students of English.

PhD students will be awarded diplomas entitling them to credits in their PhD program. Lecturers will also receive relevant confirmation.

The summer school will be held in the beautiful region of the Slovak paradise which will enable the participants to make exciting trips to see the beauties of truly virgin nature, to the largest castle in the Central Europe, etc.
