Dear fellow students,

On behalf of ESCape, club connecting the students of the Department of English and American Studies (DEAS) at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 3^rd IDEAS English Students’ Conference. We have two successful conferences to look back on and we are happy that IDEAS has found its fans not only at our faculty but also at other English departments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria. We are hoping to extend this group with the 3^rd conference which is also going to be the only IDEAS this year as we are making it an annual event so don’t miss out on this opportunity!

The 3rd IDEAS conference will be held on the 20th May 2016. By organizing the conference, we want yet again to provide you with an opportunity to share your ideas and your research with other students and academics, to practise your presentation skills (which may come in handy during your theses defences) but also to broaden your horizons and possibly get some inspiration for your own studies. All this in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Therefore, we encourage all B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. students who are interested in presenting their work (such as – but not necessarily – their B.A. and M.A. theses or doctoral projects) to send the topic and the outline of their presentations, which should be approximately 20 minutes long, to esc.english@gmail.com by the 30^th April 2016.
