OBJECTIVES
To provide an outline of selected topics in theoretical and practical lexicography: typology of dictionaries; monolingual English dictionaries: macrostructure and microstructure; learner's dictionaries; bilingual dictionaries; special-subject/-purpose dictionaries (collocation dictionaries, synonym dictionaries, Roget's thesaurus); electronic/online dictionaries; corpus lexicography; history of English lexicography.
