General Information
The Film Studies Department participates in the Erasmus program with the following universities:

The department encourages collaboration with other
foreign institutions within the Erasmus program and welcomes the
establishment of partnerships with further universities. Collaboration
is dependent upon the sufficient offering of film studies courses (or
closely related courses) conducted in one of the world languages.
What do we offer?
The Film Studies Department is one of the most
important partners in the university‘s program for foreign
students. Thus, in addition to courses in the Czech language, the
department also offers several courses in English, German, and French. Courses available in the academic year 2016/2017:
- Czech and Slovak Cinema from the 1950’s to Present: Politics, Visuality, and Experimentation (Nick Hudáč)
- Surrealism and Eastern and Central and European Cinema (Richard Capes)
- Female Masochism in Film: Sexuality, Ethics and Aesthetics (Richard Capes)
- Czech Popular Cinema (Jindřiška Bláhová)
Foreign students can also attend numerous courses offered in other
departments. Courses are divided into three categories: Central
European Studies, Cultural Studies, and Czech Language.
Based
upon individual approval, students can also attend courses offered by
the Film and TV Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague
(FAMU) and courses offered by other schools within the university.

The inter-university agreement must be signed before December 15, in
order for the agreement to take effect for the coming academic year.

The Film Studies Department is empowered to enter new agreements with
foreign universities (see the General Information section), establish
new courses to be conducted in a foreign language, etc. The department
can also provide advice regarding individual study plans for
